![]() ![]() ![]() Cinderella was portrayed as being "a girl of wonderful goodness and gentleness," while her step-sisters were characterized as being "very proud, haughty women, just like their mother." I think the author did a good job showing empathy towards Cinderella's character. I believe the author did a good job with capturing the true personalities of each character. I enjoy the happily ever after parts of a story and this story was an example of that. The plot of Cinderella is always a classic fairytale. I say this because the gowns worn in this story were equally the same as those worn long go and the details in the faces were the same as portraits from long ago as well. These illustrations had a style that reminded me more of the 1700s. What I liked about this one was how the illustrations were different from the original story. ![]()
